The video game Baftas took place on Thursday night in London. It is one of the few award ceremonies where it is people who work in the industry vote for their peers. As the title suggests; the winner of the big prize went to Naughty Dog for Uncharted 4 A Thief’s End.
For anyone who hasn’t played Uncharted 4, you definitely should. It won game of the year and was the deserved winner in my eyes. Naughty Dog are probably the best studio in the world for creating epic stories and this game was no different.
Inside won more awards on the night than any other game, picking up 4 Baftas. Those being in Artistic achievement, Game design, Narrative and Original property.
This cooking simulator picked up the British game and best Family game awards.
This beautifully made game won Best Debut title and best performance for Cissy Jones.
That Dragon, Cancer – Best game innovation
Rocket League – Evolving game
Overwatch – Best multiplayer
Pokemon Go – Best mobile game
The Last Guardian – Audio achievement award
Virginia – Best music award
On behalf of Bad Unit Games I would like to say a very well deserved Congratulations to not only the winners but also the nominees. 2016 was a great year for video games and I raise a glass in hope that 2017 is even better. Cheers.
