Sad news for anyone eagerly anticipating Red Dead Redemption 2. Rockstar have just announced that the game has been delayed until Spring 2018 which is around 6 months later than its originally planned release date for Autumn of this year.
Rockstar have apologised for the delay stating that the reason is “some extra time is necessary to ensure that we can deliver the best experience possible for our fans”. This is the usual spiel that we hear whenever a game is delayed but it often means that the developers have ran into some issues. It could be that they’ve found multiple bugs which need to be eradicated and thoroughly tested before release or it may mean that the higher-ups were just way too ambitious with their estimates.
One things for sure though, with E3 less than a month away we should get provided with a few updates relating to the how and why it has been delayed. To make up for the bad news, Rockstar have offered us some new screen shots to quell our Red Dead thirst.
