Uncharted 4 is an incredible game. This was proven by it winning game of the year at the video game Baftas recently. It is only natural that fans would want more, and more is what they’re getting with the release of Uncharted: The Lost Legacy.
What is The Lost Legacy?
Strictly speaking, The Lost Legacy started as dlc for Uncharted 4 although it does seem to have been transformed into a standalone title in its own right. It isn’t like most dlc that add a few new weapons and maybe a mission of two. The Lost Legacy is pretty much a full game. There may be the occasional ode to Nathan Drake but he is unlikely to appear at all in this title. Instead, players follow a story centered around Nadine and Chloe who fans of the franchise will already be familiar with.
Whilst there may be no Nathan Drake and co, there will likely be a familiar feeling to the game. Players will still perform all of the usual Uncharted tasks including puzzle solving, sneaking around, engaging in an exchange of gunfire, searching for treasure. You know, just a typical weekend.
For those of you cynical buggers who may be thinking that this is just another re-hatched way to scrape more money from fans, I will tell you to not be so blasphemous. This is Naughty Dog we are talking about here, the goose that lays the golden eggs. They could remake snakes and ladders (shoots and ladders) and they will still find a way to make it innovative and exciting.
The Lost Legacy is scheduled to be released on PlayStation 4 on the 22nd August for North America and 23rd August in Europe and I for one, as a huge Naughty Dog fanboy, cannot wait.
