Life is Strange was a phenomenal game. If anyone hasn’t played it, stop reading this right now, go and play it. Developed by DONTNOD Entertainment and originally released back in January 2015 it received a massive cult following from both a regular audience and gaming critics. I can’t even begin to think how many times I’ve seen it trending on Twitter.
What is Life Is Strange?
Life is Strange is more of an interactive movie than it is a video game. Although I guess you could argue that thousands of story telling video games fit that category. If you have ever played games like Heavy Rain or any of TellTale’s games then Life is Strange is similar to those. The story is shaped around your choices, whether it is through dialogue or actions. This helps the story feel unique to each person playing it.
Life is Strange was DONTNOD’s second major release (Remember Me being their first) and it went on to sell over 3,000,000 copies to date. It’s no wonder that they wanted to make a follow up, is it? If anything, even announcing that they will make a sequel will likely push sales of the original up even more. The sequel may also be closer than we think with its developers stating that it’s been in development since the original game got its disc release.
